We believe.…We truly believe that God can save anybody, anywhere.
We know what He has done for us and that He has given us a new life.
We have a passion for sharing the gospel with those who are down and out.
At God’s clear leading, a small team of ladies from Fitzpatrick began a Bible study at Otter Creek Correctional Facility in March of 2006 and continued there until the women were transferred to other facilities in March of 2010. Our hearts were heavy as we left Otter Creek that last time. We knew the door was closing on that chapter of ministry and began to pray that night for God’s direction.

He opened the door a few days later for an opportunity at the Floyd County Jail: a Bible study with the female inmates. We praise the LORD that we are able to meet with the ladies there twice a month! Fitzpatrick ladies have also been allowed to share the Word at a local rehab. It began in September of 2011.

After the Otter Creek women were moved, we longed to stay in contact with them and encourage them. A newsletter was materializing, and the name of it would be “Good News”. Finding where our girls were transferred was no easy task. We had not been able to keep a list of names and could only recognize faces. We scoured the DOC database for those we knew.
A short list of 30 names in April, 2010, has now grown to a whopping 500! Praise the Name of the LORD! We are still in contact with some of our friends from O.C., but have added new friends from the jail who have been released, friends who have graduated from rehab, etc. Good News not only covers Kentucky, but reaches from Texas, Ohio and to Florida! Friends tell friends and relatives and ask that they be added. Each newsletter contains Bible studies, encouraging and sometimes funny stories, Bible puzzles and the Plan of Salvation. Locally, it includes two rehabs (male and female) and the female inmates at Floyd County Jail.

We are very thankful to be a part of a church that loves others!

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me, to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free…” Luke 4:18.
